The Center for International Education (CIE) at Washington International School (WIS) assists public and non-public schools to incorporate an international focus in their curricula, resulting in more globally aware and responsive students.

Paul Tergat, UN World Food Programme Ambassador  

IFE Fellows Kentrell and Cashea hosted Paul Tergat at Hyde Public Charter School on 11/15/2005. Mr. Tergat, winner of the NYC Marathon and world record holder for the marathon, benefitted from the United Nations World Food Programme when he was growing up in Kenya. He will be hosted by fellows Erwin at Washington International School and Pablo at Sidwell Friends School. National Public Radio picked up the story.
